Seminarians Stand Out at the Iranian Book of the Year Awards Ceremony

At the closing ceremony of the 34th Iranian Book of the Year Awards, three seminary and religious publications were selected in their respective categories.

Hawzah News Agency\ (Tehran, Iran) – The closing ceremony of the 34th Iranian Book of the Year Awards and the 24th International Book of the Year Awards was held on the 7th of February 2017, in Tehran. This event was attended by many well-known writers and dignitaries, including the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr. Hassan Rouhani. 
At this ceremony, a variety of worthy publications were chosen as the best book within their respective category. These categories included both fiction and non-fiction subjects, such as Applied Medical Science and Novels.
Three seminary and religious works were chosen as the best publication in their respective categories. Those catergories were, the way of life of the Infallibles (as), Sufism and Mysticism and Religion and Hadith (Traditions). The details of the winning publications are as follows:
The Way of life of the Infallibles: Mawsuah Abdul Allah ibn Abbas, Hibr al-Ummah wa Tarjuman al-Quran; written by Ayatollah Sayyid Muhammad Mahdi al-Khurasan, a scholar based in Najaf. Published by the Centre for Beliefs Research, which is under the auspices of Grand Ayatollah Sistani.
Religion and Hadith: Fiqh al-Hadith (The Jurisprudence of Traditions) discussion on narrating via meaning; written by Dr. Ahmad Paketchi. Published by Danishgah Imam Sadiq (as).
Sufism and Mysticism: Tahrir Risalah al-Wilayah Shams al-Wahy Tabrizi and Allamah Tabatabai (ra); Written by Ayatollah Jawadi Amoli. Published by Isra.
